Smoothies are a great way to start the morning or recover after an active day. They’re easy to make, and with the summer heat beating down on you, something light and refreshing probably sounds great, right? Fortunately, you don’t have to hit one of those smoothie shops. All you need is a blender and a few simple ingredients, and you can make smoothies right in your kitchen!

Most smoothies have three main components: A base like yogurt to provide that smooth, creamy texture; a liquid which could be water, milk, green tea, almond milk, soy milk, or almost anything else you’d like (keep the sugar to a minimum for best teeth results); and then the fruits and veggies that give the smoothie its nutrition and flavor. Yogurt
