When you arrive in our office for your single appointment crown fitting, Dr. Watts quickly prepares your affected tooth for the crown. Then he measures the dimensions of the tooth with a specialized scanner. The scanner transmits its precise measurements and dimensions to a computer that uses the data to generate a model of a custom crown. Next, the computer transfers the image to a milling machine located onsite. The milling machine carves your crown out of a solid piece of porcelain that is perfectly matched to your tooth color. The carving process takes no more than twenty minutes. Once your crown is finished, Dr. Watts carefully affixes it to your prepared tooth. At this point, you can go on with your day—and the rest of your life—with a bright, healthy smile.
